Waltham, 26th September; MPS is pleased to announce the club will host the 5th annual Fundraiser / Raffle with all proceeds awarded to the MPS Inner-City Initiative.
We will be conducting a raffle for our smaller gifts ($5 per ticket) and be holding an online Auction for our more decorated items. The raffle draw and auction will take place on November 16th at 5pm, however raffle tickets are now available for purchase.
“We are delighted to host the fifth annual MPS Fundraiser Auction / Raffle to raise funds for our Inner-City programs,” said MPS Inner-City Initiative Director Ralph Latchana. “The Inner-City Initiative exists entirely due to the support of our donors and we are extremely grateful to those who have aided MPS in bringing programs to the under-served communities since 2009.”
Since Spring 2009 the goal of the MPS Inner City/Bank of America partnership has been to provide premier level coaching to economically disadvantaged communities. With the addition of Everett Youth Soccer this Fall supplemented by School of Excellence program’s conducted in Jamaica Plain, Brockton, Worcester and Lowell the Inner City has grown and developed every season.
The past success of the MPS Inner City fundraiser has been mainly due to gift items donated by generous contributors to be raffled and auctioned to raise funds for providing camp professional coaching, facilities, apparel and soccer opportunities to those in disadvantaged regions of Massachusetts. Gift items such as soccer memorabilia, store vouchers, soccer apparel, event tickets (Patriots/ Red Sox/Celtics) and camp scholarships have been donated in the past to name a few.
