MPS teams show support Breast Cancer Research

Waltham, 23rd October 2012; Mass Premier Soccer U14 Renegades, U11 and U14 Lady Knights wore the charity’s pink socks for all practices and games this month.

The U14 Renegade captains, Courtney Masotti, Nicole Dahlgren and Natalie Rogers organized buying the pink socks for the rest of the team, they were sold for $10 a pair and they raised $300 for Breast Cancer Research.

“I am very proud of my captains and team for raising money for a great cause,” said MPS U14 Renegades Head Coach Georgina Longden. “The girls organized it themselves, this shows great character and is a testament to how we develop people as well as players.”

The Renegades wore their socks in last weekend’s State Cup game against South Shore Select, who also wore pink Breast Cancer Research socks. The Renegades won 2-0 in extra time to make it to the next stage of the cup.
