Waltham, 30th August, 2012; MPS is delighted to announce details for the Junior School of Excellence Program (JSOE) to be held during the upcoming fall season.
The six week program, designed for 1st and 2nd grade players, will run in eleven separate locations across all the four MPS regions.
Launched in 2006, the JSOE is focused on introducing and developing the key fundamental components of soccer in a fun and challenging environment. It is designed to ensure that player’s enthusiasm for soccer grows along with their ability. Each week the players will learn a new skill based on a Champions League player, from dribbling like Messi to shooting like Rooney.
“The JSOE program emphasizes fundamental soccer skills with the use of Champions League players to educate our MPS Juniors,” said MPS Premier Director Justin Capell. “The program has continued to grow in size and with the focus on development, it provides a solid base for our younger players to graduate into the MPS School of Excellence program.”
MPS will offer the JSOE program in Bedford, Bridgewater, Dover-Sherborn, Hingham, Lancaster, Marlboro, Natick, Newton, Norton, Weymouth and Woburn this spring. Each player will receive a MPS jersey and sack-pack, and at the end of the season each team will play in the MPS Champions League festival. The festival will focus on four different 4v4 scrimmages and will showcase the skills they have learned throughout the six weeks.
