Waltham, MA, 19th July 2012; The first annual MPS Summer Showcase was held at the beautiful Citizens Bank fields in Lancaster, MA on the weekend of July 14th & 15th. The Summer Showcase offered players further exposure to college coaches who were in attendance and a chance to compete against some different competition, including teams fron Canada and Bermuda.
The Summer Showcase was held in conjunction with the Summer Slam Tournament which was open to U10-U14 teams.
“The weekend was a great success with sixty teams competing in the tournament’s first year” said MPS League & Tournaments Director, James Hamblin. “We are looking to expand this tournament in the future and make it one of the most important events on the MPS tournament calendar”.
